 Apple picking:

Early fall is prime apple picking season. Different varieties of apples grow throughout late August all the way until early November. Popular apples such as Honeycrisp, Gala, McIntosh, and Zestar are all perfect for early fall picks as they are primed from late August to the early weeks of September. Apple picking is the perfect activity—and photo op—to enjoy with friends and family to embrace this sweet season of fall.

Pumpkin patches:

Pumpkin picking is the quintessential fall activity. No, really, what’s more fall than pumpkins? Pumpkin picking season spans from late September to mid-October; it’s a quick season, so make sure you get to your favorite patch while you can! These fruits come in a variety of shapes and sizes that serve as the perfect fall decor for any home or apartment. Plus, many pumpkin patches offer additional attractions like corn mazes, hayrides, and even festive food stands that make for a fun day out with family or friends. Throw on your best flannel, grab a strong bag for collecting pumpkins, and head to your local patch.

 Fall Hiking:

Finally, a break from the intense summer heat! Fall is the perfect season to reconnect with the outdoors and plan some scenic hiking. Not only does fall offer the perfect hiking climate, but it also delivers some of the most breathtaking views of the entire year. There is nothing like walking through crisp, cool air while being surrounded by the burning, rich colors of fall foliage. Whether you’re strolling through your favorite local trail or traveling to a spot that’s been on your bucket list, fall hiking is the perfect way to take advantage of the ideal outdoor climate.
